The Purwell Valley surrounds the ancient market town of Hitchin.(UK)
Beneath it lies one of the largest artesian wells in Europe, from which emerge a 'ring of springs'.
The Purwell Valley and its 'ring of springs' are an unsung masterpiece of nature's beauty and function.
It is hoped that this blog will introduce some of the characteristics of the area to those who have not been and seen for themselves.
